Michael J. Watton - Bankruptcy attorney

Mr. Watton is a leading consumer bankruptcy attorney in Milwaukee. He has guided thousands of individuals through debt consolidation plans and bankruptcies. More recently, he has represented individuals and successfully sued payday lenders, mortgage servicers and other financial companies for improper practices both in Wisconsin and nationally. He heads the firm’s consumer and class action litigation department. Mr. Watton has been a frequent lecturer on Bankruptcy Law topics to attorneys throughout Wisconsin. Mr. Watton holds a law degree (J.D., 1990) from The Duke University School of Law and a business degree (B.S.B.A. in Finance, 1987) from The University of Florida. Mr. Watton is admitted to practice in the State Courts of Wisconsin, New York, and Arizona. Mr. Watton is also a member of the Federal Court Bar in the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Western District of Wisconsin, District of Arizona and United States 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Maloney currently heads the firm’s bankruptcy department. In addition to bankruptcy, Mr Maloney has successfully pursued payday lenders, debt collectors and banks in State, Federal and Bankruptcy Courts for violations of consumer laws. Mr. Maloney received his law degree and undergraduate degree from Marquette University in 2004 and 2001 respectively. Mr. Maloney is admitted to practice in the State Court of Wisconsin as well as in the both the Eastern and Western Federal District Courts of Wisconsin.

Mr. Hassell is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on bankruptcy law. Mr. Hassell received his law degree from Marquette University in 2010 and his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 2007. Mr. Hassell is admitted to practice in the State Courts of Wisconsin and is a member of the Federal Court Bar in the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
