Bio

Elizabeth Walburn is an associate attorney at Watton Law Group. She has always been passionate about social justice and helping underserved people in need. This passion translates perfectly to her work at our bankruptcy law firm, where we protect people from creditors, banks, and courts, as well as show them the positive sides of bankruptcy.

Before joining Watton Law Group, Liz worked for the Tenant Assistance Initiative at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law as a Truman Fellow. In this role, she represented Kansas City and Jackson County families who were facing eviction. The experiences learned there further inspired her to pursue a legal career that allowed her to stand up for people in tough situations. She also served on the Kansas City Tenants’ Right to Counsel Committee, which oversaw Kansas City’s Right to Counsel program.

Born and raised in Kansas City, Liz graduated from the Center 58 School District and stayed close to home to finish her J.D. Her familiarity with the area and its wonderful people makes her proud to be part of the Watton Law Group team in Missouri. Using her compassion and authenticity, she happily shows our clients how bankruptcy can be an encouraging step toward a stress-free and debt-free financial future.

When she has some free time, Liz likes to spend time with her family and friends, catching a movie, or watching a new TV show. She also likes to dig into new comic books or manga.
