Bio

Lisa Garza is an associate attorney at Watton Law Group. She believes in the importance of representing people who could be vulnerable to injustices carried out by creditors, banks, and courts. Lisa understands that declaring bankruptcy is never an easy decision to make, which is why she insists on a client-centric approach that answers all the client’s questions with honesty. Each client’s goals become her center focus as she steers them toward the best possible outcomes through the bankruptcy process.

While working as a legal aid attorney, Lisa assisted with the recovery of an abducted child in China, who was then reunited with his family. She also protected an elderly widow against creditor actions to repossess her home. Before becoming an attorney, she served as a police officer. All three experiences further cemented her dedication to doing the right thing for people in need.

Lisa is proud to call herself a member of Watton Law Group, where she can work directly with clients and show them how to navigate bankruptcy to a future that is free of stress and debt. Thanks to her strong interpersonal skills, she is known for being able to quickly foster a genuine attorney-client relationship in each case.

Attorney Garza is currently a member of the Association of Women Lawyers and the Kansas City Bankruptcy Bar Association. She is also a Past President of the Wyandotte County, Kansas, Bar Association.
